A pidgin language is a natural evolution of a language, typically stemming from a dialect of a language spoken by people who did not learn that language as their first.
A zonal auxiliary language is constructed, unnaturally. People made decisions about how the syntax of that language would fall, instead of the syntax being a consequence of people speaking that language over the course of many years.

The difference is in the generation of speaker!
A pidgin is a dialect-turned-language by people speaking it as their second language.
A creole is when someone learns that pidgin as their first language.
So then what’s the e difference between a zonal auxiliary language and a conlang?
A zonal auxiliary language is just a TYPE of conlang! A conlang constructed with the specific purpose of facilitating conversation between two similar languages.
Not all conlangs are utilitarian, though, some of em are just made for fun. Like Klingon, that nerd shit from Star Trek!
There’s such an interesting cyber-anthropological phenomenon in feeling a communal pressure to act a certain way, or use the platform a certain way, when joining a new online space. Not in terms of the types of opinions or political views that are deamed acceptable, but in terms of specifics of etiquette and posting formats.
Making a Tumblr post that sounds “like a Twitter user” is met with scorn or derision a lot of the time. And when asking someone why they react like that, typically the answer is some form of “that kind of comedy doesn’t work here” or “it doesn’t sound right to post like that on this website”, which is essentially just “it doesn’t fit with the traditions I learned in this specific place”.
I will always find the ways social media platforms evolve naturally like societies interesting.

KnowYourMeme holds, in my opinion, something like 5% of the importance that Wikipedia does.
This may not sound like a lot, but is extremely significant considering Wikipedia is a contender for the most important thing created by mankind.
I think KYM is extremely important, if not now then 20 years from now, because it acts/will act as the rapidly evolving key to the exponentially complex way a lot of internet discourse takes place.
scrolling twitter today and then coming over here is like walking out of a burning building and then walking into the calm remains of a building that burnt down 5 years ago and has been reclaimed by nature.
there still wasps in here but there’s also fewer flaming i-beams falling from overhead so it’s a good tradeoff.
